BlackBerry Master Control Program 0.9.2 Beta 10
BlackBerry Master Control Program is one of those applications that isn’t for every BlackBerry user, however, if you are a moderate to power user, one of those folks who regularly installs leaked OSs and every cool looking BlackBerry application just to test it out, or someone who needs to easily create screenshots of your device, this is the program for you.
BlackBerry Master Control Program 0.9.2 Beta 10 has just been released and its creators have added a ton of new features:
- MCP gets a major facelift! Brand new graphics for the navigation panel and installers! – Thanks Shane!!!
- Save Modules now allows user to create ALX/JAD for saved modules
- Added Backup & Restore for third party applications (2 clicks)
- Added ALX/JAD Builder with drag & drop window for building the module list
- System tray icon right click context menu updated
- By default MCP minimizes to taskbar now, not the system tray (clean installs only)
- Left side navigation panel reduced number of icons dramatically (it was too cluttered)
- Auto PIN checking is now at 3 seconds (clean install)
- OS Management: Added “Delete JVM” checkbox (if checked Application Loader will start with the /nojvm parameter which will destroy JVM on the device)
- OS Management: Added “Full Wipe” checkbox (if checked Java Loader will “Wipe” the device destroying any existing IT Policies prior to the OS installation)
- Navigation: Load/Erase/Save Modules used to be “hidden” under the “Java Loader” page, they are now in the main navigation area
- MCP Engine updated to Java Loader 5.0.0 Beta 4
BlackBerry MCP is one heck of a program and you absolutely cannot beat the price. BlackBerry MCP is free, however, it’s creators do accept donations and I strongly recommend that you do if you find MCP useful. You can download BlackBerry Master Control Program 0.9.2 Beta 10 here…

Coca-Cola’s Social Media Happiness Ambassadors to Visit 206 Countries

Ambassador must be the word of the day. We just reported on Charmin’s quest to find bathroom ambassadors, Ford’s looking for Fusion ambassadors, and now Coca-Cola is looking for a few brand ambassadors themselves.
The Coca-Cola variety, however, are on a mission to find happiness in the 206 different countries that sell Coca-Cola products across the world.
With the Expedition 206 campaign, Coca-Cola is tapping regular people to be their “Happiness Ambassadors” and travel the world for the whole of 2010 and document their quest via blog posts, tweets, YouTube videos, TwitPics, and other social media mentions.
They’ve already narrowed down the playing field to 9 competitors, separated into 3 teams, and have just opened up the final selection process to you. You can visit the site, watch team videos, and vote once per day on your favorite between now and November 6, 2009. Here’s a video intro:
The winning three-person team will begin their journey on January 1, 2010 and attempt to travel more than 150,000 miles in 365 days, visiting each of the 206 countries where Coca-Cola is sold. On the way, they’ll get to experience the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, and the World Expo in Shangha. Their duty is to engage with local denizens and uncover what makes them happy, openly document and share their experiences online, and complete tasks in each country as determined by online voters.
It’s a pretty impressive undertaking, and one of the most unique and involved social media marketing and travel campaigns we’ve ever seen.

Manual digital clock will guarantee that you're always late
You know what my biggest problem with clocks is? That they just don't require enough effort. Not the case with the manual digital clock, which requires you to update the time manually every minute.
Sure, you'll need a second, real clock on hand to know when to update it. But still, won't it feel good to get back in control of time and the scheduling in your life? Just don't blame the clock when you're late all the time. That one will be all on you.

The £300 million flying palace being built on board Airbus 380

Possessing a private plane is never a fantasy for a billionaire, for he can afford them at any stretch in life. But it does become a guaranteed fantasy when an Airbus 380 is converted into a flying palace embedded with wholesome goodies to be created into a captivating experience that’s never been seen or dreamt of before. Reckoned to be the world’s largest private jet on completion in four years time, Worcestershire-based firm Design Q is working on this heaven-like flying experience on a superjumbo designed to order for a Saudi prince. When on board, apart from being an owner of a space occupied by 600 passengers, the £300 million (approx. $482,300,000) flyer has five suites with king-size beds, high-tech entertainment systems and prayer room with computer controlled mats that always face Mecca. The belly of the A380 has been turned into a relaxation zone with a Turkish bath for four; the adjoining room has floor and walls converted into a giant screen to show the ground bellow.
For workaholics, there’s a boardroom with iTouch and holographic screens and a conference room where the owner can virtually project his members and hold conferences. Tailored for all flying needs, the unique Airbus 380 has everything a billionaire could want, including onboard parking for the Rolls-Royce.

Roman Abramavich's $350M new toy launched on maiden voyage

Roman Abramovich’s most-awaited mega yacht “Eclipse,” touted as the world’s biggest yacht, has finally made a preliminary launch at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany where it was built secretly for more than two years. The 170-meter yacht (557.6 feet) will feature 2 heli-pads, 20 water jets, a pool with large Havana bars surrounding it, a cinema, library, restaurant, private garden, 5,000-square-feet master suite, a private submarine boarding from the bottom of the yacht for a secret escape, and a missile-detection system to deflect pirate attacks safely. The 9-deck megayacht has at least five possible exits, which literally makes it the safest yacht ever built. This 557-foot Eclipse has literally eclipsed all other vessels, including the 525-foot vessel “Platinum 525” owned by the Crown Prince of Dubai, earlier known as world’s biggest yacht. The $350 million mega yacht will undergo further construction and will be delivered to her owner in 2010.
This Russian oligarch has lost more than half his fortune in the past year, which made him slip down to #51 spot on the prestigious Forbes World’s Billionaires 2009 list. Forbes reports that the loss in his wealth was mainly due to disastrous performance of Russia’s second biggest steel company, Evraz, in which he has a large stake. In fact, the Russian government had to loan Evraz money so it could pay a tax bill in the fourth quarter of 2008; but none of it had any effect on this billionaire’s ostentatious lifestyle. Recently, the tycoon was spotted at the VIP preview of Art Basel. Though we believe if you earn your money legally, you are entitled to spend it however you want, considering it’s the taxpayer’s money that bailed him out, this much-awaited launch comes at the wrong time, when most of the American people have lost their retirement funds due to the recession.

Michael Jackson’s charred hair to be transformed into diamonds

The burned hair of Michael Jackson lost during the shooting of Pepsi advertisement in 1984 [video here] will be turned into diamonds. LifeGem, a US-based company known for making high-quality diamonds from the carbon of a loved one’s body as a memorial to his or her life, has unveiled a bizarre plan to produce 10 diamonds from the locks of the late pop legend’s hair to give a few fans a unique way to remember their idol. The hair was collected by the executive producer of the videograper Ralph Cohen, when the star’s hair was set on fire after a stunt went terribly wrong. He saved this important piece of history for 25 years after which he sold it to John Reznikoff, an avid collector of celebrity and historical hair. Now, Reznikoff has inked a deal with LifeGem to produce an exclusive set of diamonds from a portion of the hair, although the rest will remain in his collection. The company has previously worked with the collector to create diamonds from Beethoven’s hair in 2007 and one of them was sold for around $200,000 on eBay. The latest collection is also likely to rake in a good amount when it goes on sale.

Daily DIY: How to Test Eggs for Freshness
Filed under: food, in the kitchen
Eggs are one of my favorite foods; perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and of course, in between). Scrambled, fried, over-easy... any way, any how. Of course, the little trick I'm about to share is a Godsend for someone as egg-crazy as myself, so I'm committing it to memory as I write this.
Did you know that expired eggs float, rather than sink? Grab a bowl filled with cold water and let a few eggs soak in the bowl for two minutes. The freshest eggs will stay at the bottom, and any expired eggs will rise to the surface. Eggs should stay fresh for up to three weeks when properly stored.
Easy enough, right? And don't worry -- for all of you egg lovers, I've scrounged up one of my favorite (and healthy!) recipes: the skinny omelette. It's not only delicious, but super easy to make. Especially with our new floating egg trick! Go forth and cook, DIY-ers!

Tampon Crafts Are Not As Disgusting As They May Seem
Filed under: Humor, Weird, Site of the Day, Art / Design
First came everyone's favorite handmade marketplace, Etsy. After that, Regretsy -- a site that highlights crafts that may be slightly... off. It didn't take long to realize that people love the more unusual crafts just as much as the normal ones and found ourselves surfing Tampon Crafts, a site that features recession-friendly crafts you can make all year long (or, specifically at 'that time of the month'). But seriously: before you EW, take a look at the amazing things you can make with tampons...
Our favorite? A fully-functional pan flute that is actually in tune. As they say on the site, 'The hills are alive with the sound of tampons!'

Vonage Mobile iPhone and BlackBerry apps available for download
You remember Vonage right? The trailblazing VoiP company is still around and appears at first glance to have instigated a bit of coup in the battle for VoiP calls over AT&T connections. Unfortunately they haven't, at least not yet. See, the free Vonage Mobile app just added to the iTunes App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch has been approved for making international calls over AT&T's cellular network (take that Skype) in addition to WiFi. Unfortunately, we're not talking about SIP calls over EDGE/HSDPA data. Like the rejected Google Voice app, if you're out of WiFi range but still have voice service then Vonage Mobile will redirect your international call (entered directly into the App or selected from your address book) to a local access number in the US -- you're then using your AT&T minutes while being charged Vonage Mobile's discounted worldwide calling rates. The app is strictly pay-as-you-go for the moment and will not give free global calling to those who subscribe to Vonage's $25 per month Vonage World plan -- Vonage says that will come before the end of the year. The Vonage Mobile app for BlackBerry only works over your carrier's voice network while the iPod touch app only works over WiFi, naturally. Also, BlackBerry users will revert to Vonage's lower rates anytime they make an international call whereas iPhone users must launch the Vonage application first.
[Thanks, Ricky B.]
